Family Weekend FAQs Below are some frequently asked questions about Family Weekends at the University of Oregon. There are a variety of activities offered during the designated weekends. Fall Family Weekend: October 24–26, 2025 Fall Family Weekend is an opportunity for you to reconnect with your student and experience Duck life. Weekend highlights include Duck into a Class, Homecoming festivities, and athletic events. For our first-year families, Fall Family Weekend occurs at the end of a very crucial period in your student's time at the University of Oregon. We encourage Connect and socialize with fellow Beaver parents, families and university leaders during the OSU Alumni Association’s Parent and Family Spring Social. Fall Family Weekend Highlights Pick up a full schedule of events at check-in. Parents and families enjoy free access to the Student Recreation Center, the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, and the Museum of Natural and Cultural History throughout Fall Family Weekend. Parent & Family Weekend 2025 Friday, Oct. 24 There's so much to do and see in Central Oregon. Come early! Hike Shevlin Park, around Todd Lake or along the Deschutes River. Explore downtown Bend and walk through Drake Park. Shop with your Bend Beav at the Old Mill District. Then enjoy dinner at one of the many nearby restaurants. Hikes Fall Family Weekend typically occurs during the fourth or fifth week of the fall term. This weekend often coincides with athletic and large campus events, such as Homecoming. The weekend combines structured activities and free time to create a memorable and fun experience! The signature event in the spring is a tailgate prior to the Spring football game.
